Teaching Fellows

 

Eligibility and application requirements include the following:

  • An undergraduate degree in a STEM field or employment as a STEM professional
  • Academic merit (a minimum GPA of 3.0 in undergraduate coursework)
  • Passage of CSETs 110 and 111 (or equivalent) prior to admission to the credential program (For information about these exams, please visit www.cset.nesinc.com)
  • Two letters of recommendation documenting academic merit and philosophy toward teaching in high-need schools
  • A personal statement of no more than two pages indicating your interest in and commitment to teaching mathematics in a high-need school district
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident status

Master Teaching Fellows

Eligibility and application requirements include the following:

  • Mathematics teaching position in a high-need district
  • Master’s degree in Mathematics, Secondary Education, or comparable field
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness
  • Evidence of leadership capacity
  • Evidence of content knowledge (passage of CSETs 110 and 111 or equivalent)
  • Two letters of recommendation documenting teaching effectiveness, leadership capacity, and disposition toward teaching in high-need schools
  • A personal statement of no more than two pages indicating your interest in and commitment to teaching mathematics in a high-need school district
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident status
